First Consultation Meeting for the “Venerable Master Hsing Yun Digital Humanities” Platform Construction Project
On May 30, 2024, the Venerable Master Hsing Yun Digital Humanities Research and Development Center held the first consultation meeting for the “Venerable Master Hsing Yun Digital Humanities” platform construction project at Fo Guang University. The meeting was chaired by Professor Tseng Shu-Hsien, Director of the Venerable Master Hsing Yun Digital Humanities Research and Development Center, and brought together seven esteemed scholars and experts in library science, digital humanities, information systems, and digital archiving, as well as monastic and academic specialists from Fo Guang Shan and Fo Guang University.
The experts and scholars provided valuable insights and guidance on topics related to digital preservation of cultural artifacts and documents, information systems, and digital humanities applications. They emphasized the need for forward-thinking strategies and innovative technological solutions to enhance the connectivity and usability of the platform’s diverse data sets. These advancements aim to open up new possibilities for users while addressing a broad range of needs.
