113th Fubon Life UBA Finals – Fo Guang University Women’s Basketball Team Fights for the Championship!

This weekend, the 113th Fubon Life UBA College Basketball League will reach its final showdown at Taipei Arena! Fo Guang University’s women's basketball team has advanced to the finals for 16 consecutive years. On March 29 and 30, head coach Yang Shu-Ching will lead the team in a fierce battle against Shih Hsin University, Chinese Culture University, and National Taiwan Normal University, striving for the championship title.

This season, Fo Guang University boasts a formidable lineup. Team captain Lee Yi-Hua, with her rich experience, serves as a stabilizing force on the court. The starting five—Lian Wen-Ling, Huang Yu-Ting, Chen Ding-Chi, and Chiu Tzu-Yun—will join forces in this ultimate showdown. With high morale and unwavering determination, the team is fully committed to bringing glory to their school and claiming the championship.

President Chao Han-Chieh expressed immense pride in the team's performance and personally visited the court to encourage the players. He emphasized that this weekend, millions of devoted supporters from Fo Guang Shan will be cheering for the team, forming an impressive support squad. With the backing of the entire university and Fo Guang Shan’s followers, he firmly believes the team will showcase their best performance, achieve remarkable results, and reach new heights.

Coach Yang Shu-Ching stated that after the Elite Six round, there was nearly a five-week gap before the Final Four. During this period, the primary focus was on allowing the players to recover both physically and mentally. As they prepare for this weekend’s semifinals, she hopes the team will stay composed, embrace the competition, and enjoy the game.
