FoGuang University and Nanshan High School jointly organize an international IT volunteer team for service in Myanmar
Recently, Zhan Pizong, Director of the Department of Applied Informatics, and Huang Yihan, teacher of Nanshan High School, led the students from both schools who are the members of "2019 Myanmar International IT Volunteer Team", participating a cooperation MOU signing event held at ASUS Headquarter. The volunteer team is scheduled to start their service on June 30 in Mandalay, Myanmar. IT teaching service and cultural exchange will be the main goals during their 16-day stay.
During the signing process, the host of the ASUS Culture and Education Foundation, Director Lin Shuru, pointed out that Taiwan has promoted international IT volunteers into the eleventh year. Thanks to the lead of Foguang University, we are able to cooperate with Nanshan High School to form a team. The spirit of service is rooted in the high school.
In addition to the participation of two teachers and 18 students from Foguang University and Nanshan High School, the team specially invited Ms. Zhen Lucui, who has been assisting Foguang University to promote Myanmar IT volunteer service, to attend the event. All team members now are full of expectations, and will begin to arrange pre-departure education and preparations, and look forward to doing a good job in civil diplomacy.
